Is There Daytime Help For Restless Leg Syndrome?
Question: I am taking 3 1 mg pills of Mirapex a day. Morning, early afternoon and evening. I have restless legs - it is much better at night but now I get attacks in the day time. They are very bad and seem to be getting worse. I want to know why? I also want to know the side effects of mirapex. And please tell me of drug interactions so I know not to take them. And do you have any suggestions what to do now?

You are suffering from restless leg syndrome. This is usually associated with iron deficiency state. You should undergo complete iron profile including serum ferritin, Total iron binding capacity, serum iron level. Also hemoglobin should be measured.
You are taking dopamine agonist as mirapex. You can also take extended release tablets. Further as your age is 81, you should also be evaluated for neuropathy or lumbosacral radiculopathy.
Supplementation of iron in iron deficiency will make you more responsive to medication.
Side effects of drugs are usually nausea, vomiting, fatigue,
Drug like neuroleptics or domperidone may decrease the efficacy and levels of mirapex.
Just check you are not taking drug for acidity having domperidone.
