Question: Hello Doctor,
I have been getting treatment for post nasal drip allergy for which i took Billastie, dolo, Brozedex syrup, Cepodem xp 325, and Pulmoclear. Due to these meds, I believe, my motions become loose for a couple of days so, I took cncm i-745 for a day to two and my motions are ok but there is a sligh burning sensation and itching while passing stool.
This itching n burning sensation is for 2/3 days, haven't got worst though and i started applying coconut oil from today.
Is there ointment that I could use to control this burning sensation and itching if it continues?

Brief Answer:
Anovate cream can be applied twice daily at the anal opening.

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir,

The most probable cause of itching and burning sensation at anus is due to anal fissure. Fissure is a small Crack at the anal opening.
Fissure occurs due to the following:
1)after an episode of diarrhea due to the frequent irritation caused by stools.
2)hard stools and straining at stools
3)dehydration that may cause hard stools.
The following are treatment options:
1)Anovate cream is to be applied twice daily for 5 days at the anal opening.
2)sitz bath is very helpful in reducing pain and burning. Sitz bath is taking warm water in a tub and putting some povidine iodine and sitting in the tub.
3)diet with high fiber is to be taken like fresh fruits and vegetables.
4)Drink atleast 12-13 glasses of water daily.
5) A stools softener like lactulose can be taken 10-15ml once daily at bed time.
6)prevention of hard stools is the most important factor.

Even with the above mentioned treatment, if you don't see any betterment, kindly consult a surgeon.

Hope I have answered your question. Please let me know if you need any further assistance. Thank you.
Take care.
