Question: Dear doctor.. I have white patches at the back of my throat and often it feels dry. Is this a symptom of hiv ? I did hiv duo tests at 4 5 7 and 10 weeks and the results are all negative.

White patch over throat can occur in many conditions including tonsilitis and Diphtheria. When your HIV tests remain non reactive even after 10 weeks of exposure, it would be very much unlikely to be due to HIV infection. It is better to consult an ENT surgeon and follow his/her advice.
