Brief Answer:
Methylprednisolone is stronger than prednisone.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I can understand your concern.
Actually both, methylprednisolone and prednisone are from same group. Both are oral corticosteroid.
But methylprednisolone is more stronger than prednisone.
So less dose is required. It is also more efficatious (effective) than prednisone.
So it is better to take methylprednisolone for acute exacerbation.
But if you have prednisone then you can also take it. But you will need higher dose of prednisone.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
