Question: I am experiencing urine leakage when I am using a tampon. I have notices it for the past couple of months. It is usually worse at the beginning of my period. I am 33 and have never had children, but am actively trying to conceive. Is this something that I should be concerned about?

Brief Answer:
As explained below

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for posting your query.

I have gone through your query and it looks like stress incontinence as there will be some changes in hormone leves. For some it can worsen one week or 2 days before your periods. As the estrogen levels are reduced and that can cause decrease in the muscular pressure around the urethra which can cause urine leakage.

It is nothing to be worried about but with age and later during menopause it can increase in severity. So it is best to do kegel exercises that will increase the strength of your pelvic floor muscles.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to discuss further if any.
Regards.
