Is This Something To Worry About I Have Not Gotten The Two Lines In Ovulation Testing Strips?
Question: Hello Doctor, we are planning a baby and for the same we consulted our Gynecologist just for a formal discussion. Gyne suggested to maintain a healthy lifestyle and have asked to try during the peak ovulation period. For that my Gyne has asked me to use i-know Ovulation Testing Strips during afternoon hours (preferably between 1-3PM). I have calculated my period cycle and from the tenth day of my first day of period I have used three test strips so far (10th day, 12th day and 15th day) however, I have not gotten the two lines yet. Is this something to worry about? I would like to know that irrespective of two lines in ovulation test strip, can we still try for getting pregnant? Single line results, will make my chances of getting pregnant less likely? Please clarify.
Note: Per Doctors suggestion I have done my blood tests and USG Abd and Pelvis and all the test results were normal.

Brief Answer:
You can try for pregnancy.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Getting single line on ovulation kit suggests that ovulation has not happened till now. It can happen late also and it is best to check till day 18. Even if the test is negative, you can try for conception. But the chances of getting pregnant will be lesser.
You can try again in the next cycle.
Hope this answers your questions.
