Is Train Travel Safe During 5th Month Of Pregnancy?
Question: Hi,
My wife is pregnant and currently her 5th month is going on. Both of us have to travel at end of her 6th month. As my home town journey via train is around 33 hour, please let know how much continuous journey I can do. I am planning for break journey after 18 or 26 hour.
Also what precautions should I take into considerations. I have ruled out option of Air travel or should I take into consideration that also.
Regards, XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
air travel best mode
Detailed Answer:
Hello sir, train travel is safe in pregnancy but the best is air travel in your case (as your journey is very long).
But in case you go by train only then she should take adequate rest by lying down in travel for as long as possible.
Frequent handwash and avoid liquids more than thirst so as to limit the toilet use.
Avoid rushing at the railway station and try to reach on time.
But to conclude I will still recommend best is air travel.
All the best.

I will be booking second XXXXXXX AC, so would it be ok for 26 hour long journey. I will consider air travel option also as per your suggestion but during landing will it safe due to sudden brakes.
Thanks, XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
