Brief Answer:
Train journey is safe, preferred lower XXXXXXX for you wife
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
Travelling by train in 2nd AC is allowed for your wife who is going to be 5 months pregnant. It is recommended that she occupies a lower XXXXXXX and does not handle luggage heavier than 5 kgs. As her parents will also be with her, there is no reason to worry.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Thanks XXXXXXX !
Yes , she is travelling in the lower XXXXXXX , reservation is confirmed in 2nd AC, My only worry is , as she has to travel long distance, is that fine for her ?
Also - could you please suggest , what should be taken for food during the Journey ?
As her parents would accompany her , she will not carry any baggae with own.

Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing back with an update.
If she is travelling by train journey of 36 hours duration then there is no more risk than any average normal woman of her age. Once every 3 hours during the day she can change positions to promote good blood circulation.
For meals, it is best to take foods from home. Railway catering and food does not suit everyone and can cause food poisoning. Fruits, bread and jam, biscuits, chips can be taken during the journey. On the first day, shoe can also take food prepared from home like rice or chapatis with dal and pickles. Avoid non veg foods during journey.
Hope your query is answered.
