Is Travelling By Flight Advisable After Gallbladder Surgery?
Question: Can you advise on how long after gallbladder surgery someone should wait before getting on a flight? Days? Weeks? Successful laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
Brief Answer:
One week is enough!
Detailed Answer:
HI,
If you are no longer in pain, eating well and moving around, a week is enough. Surgery doesn’t constitute any limiting factor in traveling by air.
In all, a week after a successful surgery with no complications is good enough.
I wish you well.

Thank you. Can you also advise on how long to wait before it is safe to drink alcohol again? Am wondering because would like to have a couple of drinks on New Year's Eve if it is safe to do so. Surgery was over two weeks ago and haven't been taking pain medication.
Brief Answer:
It is safe to take a few, only a FEW!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I will suggest that you take a few. Make sure you don’t take so much. Too much alcohol in itself is not very health friendly.
