If benign juvenile epilepsy, treatment may be not necessary.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HealthcareMagic.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
EEG is necessary to understand better the nature of seizures.
In such cases, a brain MRI is also necessary as part of epilepsy protocol and since there is a head trauma history (although the CT was normal).
If benign juvenile epilepsy is diagnosed, and symptoms are considered to be mild, treatment may be not necessary.
If suspicion is raised after EEG that seizures may progress to generalized epilepsy, then treatment is necessary.
I think, the need for treatment or not will be clear after EEG and brain MRI.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Kind regards.
