Is Using A Drop Of Durezol Every Waking Hour For Uveitis Too Much?
Question: Is using a drop of durezol every waking hour for uveitis too much? Is it dangerous ? My vision is very blurry, could the drop be the cause? I was on pred forte for a week, hourly drops, the dr changed to 4 times a day. Within 3 days the inflammation came back. Now durezol every waking hour. Also atropine 2 times a day. My vision is very blurry and I see floaters. Is that from the medication?
Brief Answer:
Uveitis.
Detailed Answer:
My dear,
Thanks for sending your query to us.
The blurring is due to uveitis.Atropine is a cycloplegic and predict forte and Durezol are steroids and since there is severe inflammation, you need drops every hour. The floaters which you see are due to inflammatory debris in the virteous cavity and it's reduction and improvement in vision will be indicators of control of disease.
