Is Vaginal Discharge Possible After Days Of Chronic Cough Due To Ear And Sinus Infection?
Question: Is it possible to have a vaginal discharge after days of chronic cough due to ear and sinus infection. I have been on antibiotic for 20 hours so far and this just started. I spent most of the night with extreme coughing. I just went to bathroom and just noticed discharge.
Brief Answer:
Vaginal discharge and chronic cough
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Do you mean you were on antibiotic for 20 days? or 20 hours?
Vaginal discharge can result from imbalance of organisms in the vagina. If you take antibiotics for longer time i.e over 2 weeks the good commensals in the vagina trying to balance the vaginal ph would be killed leading to imbalance.
I suggest you to use Vaginal wash lotion available over the counter which balance the ph of the vagina.
However I could not think any direct relation between chronic cough and vaginal discharge except for the above said reason.
If you are using antibiotic for just 20 hours there is still a reason for imbalance in the vaginal flora.
