Question: Hello, is vitamin d3 5000 iu immunosuppressant? Will it make my body bad? Will the covid-19 vaccine become less effective in my body?
Is vitamin b12 safe? Will it make my covid-19 vaccine less effective? Does vitamin d3 and b12 cause cancer? I took vitamin d3 and b12 for one week and I felt more awareness and sense. My legs were starting to feel weak that night. I started to feel like I was sunshined after taking them frequently. I’m healthy and took a covid-19 vaccine. The vitamin d3 I took was 5000 iu. It said ask a doctor before use and I didn’t. we don’t have a professional clinic. I started to feel like I was kinda high after taking d3 and b12 after 1 week and anxiety cuz it went through my blood stream i suspect. I’m 30 years old.

Brief Answer:
Not likely to experience anything.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Vitamin D 3 recommend dosage varies from 1000 to 4000ui. Taking 5000 ui is a high dosage. It is not an immunosuppressant.
If you are on severe deficiency and blood levels of vitamin D are low it will not cause toxicity.
It will not affect the vaccine .
Vitamin B12 also is safe and will not affect the vaccine.
Also taking them both for a week will not likely cause anything. The feeling of leg weakness at night is definitely not related to them.
If you decide to continue the vitamin D and B12 measure their levels in blood before and I can recommend the daily dosage and how long to continue treatment.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks.

Hello,
Is taking vitamin d3 5,000 iu dangerous when being in the sun outside? How do they measure blood levels? I don’t have an equipment. I stopped taking both vitamin d3 and b12 after one week and several days. I started feeling sunshine effect in me and feeling sore muscles and being relaxed. At some point my legs were weak when sitting and my breathing hole got thick I guess. seemed to feel more sense and awareness.

Brief Answer:
Better take lower dose for longer time.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
Sun exposure for some days will not increase vitamin D so much.
You better take 2000ui for a longer period than taking 5000 for a shorter time.
The vitamin D levels can only be measured by blood tests.
Feeling weak may be related to vaccination.
