Brief Answer:
Get done uric acid level.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your situation and problem.
Pyrazinamide is anti tb drug and given in almost all cases of tuberculosis.
This drug can cause raised uric acid level and this high uric acid can cause joint pain and body pain.
So get done serum uric acid level.
And if raised than you need to start treatment for it.
But if the level is normal than you need to take simple painkiller for this pain.
So please let me know which anti tb drugs you are taking?
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health. Thanks.

Brief Answer:
No need to take levofloxacin.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Forecox two tablets are sufficient for sputum positive Pulmonary tuberculosis.
No need to take levofloxacin.
Levofloxacin is flouroquinolone group of antibiotic and it is indicated in MDR (multi drug resistant) tuberculosis. It is also given in recurrence of tuberculosis or when tb infection is severe.
So please let me know
1. Did you have tuberculosis in past? Or is this your first episode of tuberculosis?
2. What is your chest x ray report? Do you have bilateral disease?
3. Did you have joint and body pain before starting forecox or all these symptoms are after forecox?
4. Have you checked for MDR tb? Levofloxacin is not given in all tb patients. It should be given only in MDR patients or patients with severe infection.
Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better.
