Question: Hello Doctor,

As per your advise, I had been taking the medicines throughout Ramadan as prescribed below :
Detailed Answer:
Till ramdan continue the same
Initial treatment should be given for 21 days.

Start tapering nexium from start of ramdan-
Esomeprazole (Nexpro) 40mg x 1 - 4 a.m.
Itopride (Ganaton) 50 mg x 1 -4a.m.
Acotiamide (Acogut) 100 mg x 1 - 4 a.m. along with diabetic medicines
Antacid (Maalox) 10 ml - 4 a.m.
Digestive Enzyme tablet x 1 - 1 4 a.m

at iftar
Acotiamide (Acogut) 100 mg x 1 -
Antacid (Maalox) 10 ml -
Digestive Enzyme tablet x 1
Esomeprazole (Nexpro) 40 mg x 1 - .

Acotiamide (Acogut) 100 mg x 1 - 11p.m p.m.

I am feeling good now. I had been taking the medicines as advised since 25 April 2018. Please let me know if i should continue with the same medicines?

My answer would be 9, since i have never felt any symptom as long as I had been taking the medicines. I dont know how it would be if I stop.
Moreover, I had kept a high control by avoiding spicy food.

Hello,

Removing all the medicines suddenly might cause the symptoms to rebound back.
Treatment plan
Tab Nexium 20 mg once a day
Digestive enzyme 1 tab once a day.
Take both of them for 10 days and see if symptoms reverts back or not.

Follow up after 10 days.

Hello,

Course duration of acotiamide is 3 months. So you should not stop it before three months.
Yes taper nexium to 20 mg once a day.
Stop Itopride.
Lets see how body responds to it.
10 days trial.
