It Is Possible To Get Pregnant Before The LMP?
Question: Does a Ultrasound Base your Due date off of LMP or size of the Fetus? And if they use the size of the Fetus do they automatically add two weeks onto that date?
Hello. On ultrasound it is based on the size and weight of the fetus. Regards

Okay so my LMP was 9/10/14 (would be a due date of 6/17/15) when i had my 1st Ultrasound it stated that the baby was about 6 days ahead, so it made my duedate 6/11/15. So does this mean that i just ivulated early? Or did I get oregnant before my LMP As of today 3/11/15 i am 28 weeks ..and do ultra sounds automatically add the 2 weeks on for gestetional age?
Brief Answer:
Not based on LMP
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for getting back, I am sorry for the short delay in my reply, I just got back from the hospital.
It is not possible to get pregnant before the LMP.
The ultrasound is a fairly accurate modality of detecting the expected date of delivery (EDD) only in the first two trimesters. Even in the first two trimesters the error can be as high as 8 days. In the third trimester the error can go as high as two weeks. So you should stick to the EDD given during the first trimester by ultrasound
Ultrasound does not automatically add 2 weeks, it actually calculates.
I hope I was clear, if you have any further queries please get back to me
