Question: I've been coughing up large amounts of phlegm. The last puddle was the size of my foot. No wheezing when breathing, but my sinuses are getting clogged and I have a slight fever/headache. What should I do?

Brief Answer:
You should start treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome in Ask A Doctor service.

I can understand your concern

As you explain the situation it seems like a sinusitis. I would suggest that you start an antibiotic such as Clarithromycin for one week, also Tab Ibuprofen twice a day and lavage with normal saline several times for the nose .

You can discuss with your doctor and he or she will start the above treatment after examining you closely.

Hope to have been helpful
