I've Been Experiencing A Sensation Of Heat Over One Patch

default
Posted on Thu, 18 Jun 2020
Question: I've been experiencing a sensation of heat over one patch of my lower left calf for the past two days or so. It happens rarely, and lasts only a few seconds. I have no pain, redness, or swelling, but some sources say this might be a sign of DVT. It's Friday night where I am in Japan. Do I need to go to an emergency room, or can I find a doctor tomorrow morning? Is there another explanation for this symptom?

Brief Answer:
Take a B complex multivitamin supplement

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have gone through your query and noted your concern.

I would rather consider nerve entrapment or compression of a superficial cutaneous nerve as it branches and passes through fascia, as the most likely reason for this weird sensation rather than thinking of DVT straightaway. You may take an oral B complex multivitamin supplement once a day for a few days for now

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you need any more assistance
