Question: I've been having tremors in my arms and legs upon waking. Either when waking in the middle of the night or first thing in the morning. They subside within a few seconds. I don't have any during the day. What could be causing this?

Brief Answer:
Suspected parkinson.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice
There are different diseases that cause tremor while in rest that disappear while moving.
The reasons may be essential tremor, parkinson, thyroid disorders etc.
I suspect it may be Initial phase of Parkinson.
You should do further examinations to investigate better the condition.
You can do blood test, ct, MRI of brain. Also you should consult a neurologist to see these signs and examine you physically.

Hope I have answered the question .
Let me know if I can assist you further.
