Question: I’ve been on Pramipexole for about 7 months for RLS and it recently became worse and in arms as well. Dr said to wean off for a couple of days and then start Ropinirole 0.5 starting with 1 pill for 3 or 4 days and if no relief go to 2 repeating up to 8 pills. I was on 3 Pramipexole and went to 2 for 2 days and 1 for 2 days and started the ropinirole. One pill for 2 nights and feel worse. Just slept for an hour or two last night and had to move constantly. Didn’t I wean off the Pramipexole long enough or am I having a bad reaction to the ropinirole.

Brief Answer:
You can use levodopa

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome in HCM

I read carefully the history you provide

Ropirinol side effects are several such as:
nausea,vomiting,stomach pain,loss of appetite,
worsened RLS symptoms early in the morning, diarrhea, constipation,
dry mouth

However it depends on the patient and his or her actual conditions.

You can try other treatment such as levodopa tables but please first discuss with your treating doctor because he / she knows better your actual clinical situation.

Hope to have been helpful
