Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service..I have viewed the image and gone through the query.
It could be perniosis/ chilblain. Is it very cold at your place? Did it start tender or was it itchy initially and later became tender? Any history of joint problem? or history of trauma?
Hope to assist you further once I get the required information.

It is very cold where I live but I hardly spend any time outside this time of year. It started with pain, not itchy. I’ve had some joint pain before in my hands/fingers and knees. This doesn’t feel like joint pain though. There hasn’t been any trauma.
Brief Answer:
Regarding painful bump on finger
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Another likely possibility is that it could be Erythema Nodosum(EN), though EN is more common on lower extremities, however, any body site can be affected. In EN, there is inflammation of the subcutaneous tissue and it most commonly follows a sore throat or a viral infection. Many cases of EN are idiopathic. I suggest you to use a topical diclofenac gel twice daily for a few days. In addition in suggest you to take an oral antiinflammatory e.g ibuprofen, twice daily for 5 days.
