I've Had On And Off Stuffy Nose/chest Congestion For The

Question: I've had on and off stuffy nose/chest congestion for the past 15 days at least. It got mostly better about 3 days ago, then flared up yesterday. I have a very slight pressure in my chest that is concerning me a bit. Center of body and center sternum height. No pain in my back at all. For the most part it doesn't cause any real pain and the feeling of it comes and goes throughout the day. while working (bricklayer) I don't notice it get worse or better. Once in a while it feels like maybe a very light burning (like heartburn but different and hard to describe) Sometimes I can't take a deep breath through my nose and when I can, it's usually kind of a struggle/takes more time than normal. No struggle breathing through my mouth, just the same thing with the deep breath takes a little longer than normal at times. The stuffy nose and chest are my only symptoms though. No cough, no runny nose, no wheezing when I breath, no fever, no higher heart rate, etc. Other than a slightly deep cut on my finger 2 weeks ago, I have been in great health and am on no prescription medications. OTC nasal spray has helped with the stuffy nose, but I've only taken it when it's been really bad and paid attention to the directions. I've probably used it 4 times in the last 2 weeks. It's hard to say if the spray helped much with the chest pressure though. Thank you for any advice.

Brief Answer:
Sinusitis possible.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

The nose congestion you are having for more than two weeks may be related to sinusitis.
A viral infection, nasopharynghitis you were having at the beginning may have persisted causing the sinusitis or inflammation of sinuses.
I think you may need to take antihistamines such benadryl or citerizine, also use nasal steroids such budesonide.
If it still doesn't get better you may need to use antibiotics.
The chest pain also maybe result of the congestion you were having possibly tracheitis.
Treating sinusitis will also treat it.
So as a conclusion use antihistamines such benadryl or citerizine.
Use nasal spry or corticosteroids such budesonide.
Use antibiotics if needed.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

So, the nasal spray I've been using says not to use for 3 days in a row. It helps out big time, but I don't want to overdo it with the spray. I've been feeling about the same since my first message. Antibiotics would get rid of the congestion in both nose and chest though? Would it be possible to get a prescription online here? I don't know how they work, but I doubt I'd need a large amount. The last time I took any prescription medication was about 10 years ago when I got my wisdom teeth pulled. I know if you take antibiotics too much they lose their effectiveness.

Visit a doctor.
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
I think you may need antibiotics because of the longevity of congestion. Because of ethical issues as well as laws of the state I will not be able to issue a prescription.
You can visit your doctor for the prescription.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Best regards n
