I've Had This At The Back Of My Throat For

Kindly provide some more information; some explanations given below
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for asking at 'Ask a Doctor' service.
I've gone through your query and carefully checked the uploaded images.
I would like to ask a few questions for clarification:
- are you referring to the pink round lesion on the right side over the area of the right tonsil?
- how old are you?
- have you been smoking or using alcohol?
- do you have any other complaint with the lesion: any problems with swallowing or ear problems or any lumps in the neck?
- any weight loss?
- do you relate the lesion to anything specific?
Generally, lesions that remain unresolved in the throat for a few months need special medical attention with a good examination from the doctor and many times the doctor will ask for a biopsy of the lesion to rule out important causes (like tumours). This is the case especially in males over 40 years of age who have been smoking and/or using alcohol.
Having information on the above questions will help me have a better understanding. Please copy and paste the questions to your reply and answer under each question so you don't miss them.
If you could, please also upload another picture where the root of the tongue is lowered, then it'd be very helpful for a better visualization of the lesion (this can be done by saying "aaaa" while you do the picture or pretend you are yawning with a wide open mouth while you take the picture- whichever gives a better view).
Waiting to hear back from you.

I would advise a visit with the doctor and possibly a biopsy of the lump
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for the response and the extra information provided.
For some reason I am not able to access extra pictures other than the first two.
On the other hand it is obvious in the pictures that there is a pink oval-round lesion there and in this case you will need to have a check with the doctor, especially being a lesion that is there for a few months.
The doctor might ask for a biopsy of the lesion to rule out important conditions. Masses or lumps are called tumor in medical terms and many are benign (not dangerous) and some might have malignant features.
The best way to know which is the case is to have an examination of the tumor especially the ones in the mouth and throat.
I hope this is helpful and answers to your query. Please let me know if I can assist you further.
I wish you good health.

Seeing a maxillo facial surgeon is a good idea; the nature of the lesion is difficult to be determined by just seeing the lesion.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Sorry for the late reply but I still could not access any extra pictures (was using my phone) so I wanted to check it again when I would access my computer but still I can't see other than the first two pictures.
Seeing a maxillo-facial surgeon is a good idea so I would follow the advise of your dentist.
As for the lesion, by what I can see it is a regular, smooth mass and not very big so these are good features, but it is difficult to determine the nature of it by just seeing it. Removing the lesion and doing a biopsy of it is mandatory in all cases and is the way to know exactly what it is.
I already have a good enough view of the lesion and adding a new picture might add few more details but still does not change anything in the way it needs to be addressed but if you still would like to upload a picture please write to the management first because having more than 2 replies might cause you to be charged a second time.
I hope this is helpful to you and gives some clarification on the issue but please feel free to let me know if I can assist you further.
I wish you good health.
