Question: Just got some lab test results, i havent checked with my doctor yet but my C protein Reactive level lower than normal is 0.030 and the normal ranges are 0.050 - 1.000. Can that indicate something serious?

my bilirubin levels are good accept the direct bilirubin is a little higher than normal, can that indicate soething serious?

total bliburin 0.99 which is in normal range normal ranges are 0.30 - 1.20

direct bliburin levels were a little higher than normal range 0.35 normal range is below 0.30

indirect bliburin 0.64 also in normal range normal ranges 0.20 - 0.80

have recently been diagnosed with paroxymal atribal fibrilation (which is only triggured when i have gastric discomfort like reflux and stress at he same time, seems to have a connection in my case) id my stomache is fine i never get a fib symtoms. and also i have refulx and bloating symtoms and belching and abdominal discomfort for more than 10 years now, was always thought to be IBS. But not sure if that is the only cause. My stool recently has been a bit lighter color.

Brief Answer:
no problem with the tests

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

welcome to the 'Ask a Doctor' service.

Regarding your tests the values are OK. The CRP should always be lower than the normal range. Higher CRP may mean that an inflammatory disorder is present.

Bilirubin may fluctuate even in normal individuals. Your values are not indicative of disease.

Regarding your chronic symptoms; you should consider testing the upper gastrointestinal tract and your gallbladder. Your primary care physician should help you with that. Having such symtpoms for so long may indicate a peptic ulcer, dyspepsia, gallstone disease, etc. An upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and an ultrasound scan of the liver and gallbladder may help to identify such problems. Otherwise functional disorders may be the root of your problem.

Light colored stool is not very helpful for me. A picture of the stool might be more helpful. If the stool is brown (even lighter than usual) then it should be normal. If it looks more like clay (beige or similar) then it could be abnormal but your bilirubin levels do not leave room for such thoughts. I'm sure your stool is OK.

I hope I've answered your question. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Kind Regards!
