Question: Just half an hour I took 2 MG I felt anxiety, right now I feel good.

The problem is my work is in chaos, If I stooped clonazepam, I'm going to lose everything forever. What If I take clonazepam for 6 months to fix everything and make things right.

I have been taking clonazepam for a year, what if I take it more like 6 months just to fix what I need to fix, in 6 months reduce the dose in long-term. or Its going to make me feel worse after 6 months. the plan is 6 months reduce the dose in long-term till I fix my work and stop taking clonazepam in a long-term.

I need your help to guide me.

Brief Answer:
You can use it for other 6 months.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

I think you can take clonazepam even for 6 months more till you fix your work problems and then can stop it gradually. You have been taking it for a year so taking it for another 6 months will not make a big difference in the withdrawal symptoms and you will already have them if you stop it.

The problem is that you may get used to that dosage and may need a bigger dosage for the same effects. You may try to stop it as soon as you resolve the work problems.

You should reduce dosage gradually taking 1.5 mg for the first two weeks, 1.25mg for the other two weeks, then reduce to 1mg for the next two weeks and then 7.5 mg, 5 mg and 2.5 mg each for two weeks.
This is the best way to tapper off the withdrawal symptoms.

I hope I have answered the question.

Brief Answer:
A dose reduction scheme.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
This has to do with dose reduction that you will do after 6 months of using the clonazepam.
You will reduce dosage every two weeks in order to have less side effects of stopping it.
First two weeks you will have 1.5 mg then 2 weeks of 1.25mg, then 2 weeks of 1mg and then 2 weeks of 7.5mg, then 2 weeks of 5 mg and finally 2 weeks of 2.5.mg.
This is a dose reduction scheme that you will experience less unpleasant symptoms.

Did I get it right?

The tapering of the dose of Clonazepam in my case would be:
Week 1 and 2= 1.5 mg a day
Week 3 and 4= 1 mg a day
Week 5 = 0.75 mg a day
Week 6 = 0.5 mg a day
Week 7 = 0.25 mg a day
Week 8= no clonazepam
