Question: Just started adderall 10mg time release 5 days ago. I have taken aderall here and there over the last few months with no problems, but not consistent like now. I also have been taking 7.5 lortab here and there for my endometriosis. I have severe hip bone pain, sometimes lower spine and both hips together. The hip pain comes and goes over the years. Since starting aderall it’s been 5 days straight usually it’s only once every few months. Am I dehydrated? Is it endo growth on my sciatic nerve? Is it lortab? I’m so uncomfortable in my body right now. Heating pad and ibuprofen help, but don’t last.

Brief Answer:
We need to do tests

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Severe hip bone pain may either be due to osteoporosis, fracture, disk problem or joint pain (possibly avascular necrosis).

Since pain started after use of Adderall, we must discontinue its use for atleast some time until cause is found. We must run Xray and if possible MRI of the affected areas. If Ibuprofen is not helping then take a prescription for stronger medicines. In fact severe pain must be investigated in hospital or ER.

Sciatic nerve pain will run down the back of buttocks and thighs.
It doesnt seem to be lortab.
It doesnt seem to be dehydration. More possibly an infection could be there, so drink cleaner water.

Kindly upload reports for me to better able to help you.

I had a nurse who kept putting my deposit shot in the same hip, haven’t been on birth control for 3 years now. That’s when the aches started and it only happens 3xs a year for a day. Now that I’m on aderrall it’s been constant except when ibuprofen kicks for a while

Brief Answer:
Possibly improperly injected medicine

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

This seems to be improperly injected medicine that may have been injected into "some" nerve in the area that has caused such symptoms. Possibility of a deep abscess is also there. If abscess is there, then surgeon will be of help. Avoid shots in that area. Get imaging done of the area. Aderall can cause muscle pain/cramps, so its worsening the symptoms. Avoid Aderall if the pain is bothersome.
