Just To Make Sure Everything Is Clear, I Need To

Question: Just to make sure everything is clear, I need to explain within details, 10 months ago from now, I had fever with strong cough, wheezing sound when breathing, after few days, I got recovered, I stopped coughing, like just normal, but ,That wheezing sound or feeling became gurgling sound or feeling, in this specific area from the beginning till now (on my back right side, as you are looking on my back right side in the middle exactly. Location never changed always there, its like between ribs and chest... liver area), so now since 10 months ,I am completely normal except that gurgling I always feel and hear on that area ( no cough at all ) ,specially when its pressed on that area or when I am laying down, I feel it strongly ,for example i lay down I breath deeply... a long gurgle I feel or listen, then i breath deep again, only a very few to non gurgle, unless I change position or move slightly right or left, then I breath again and gurgling happens... ( never cough ) its like something is trapped since 10 months ago. Trapped between ribs and chest, sometimes I think its strongly from my stomach i dont know, I went 3 times to doctor specialized in chests, I did X Ray and ct scan without contrast, and also a lung test, all were fine (kindly check attachment)he also tried to listen a lot but he didnt hear or felt that gurgling, So little information about me, I am kind of over weight, I never smoke in my life. This makes me real desperate... also cbc been done and still all fine, I even went to doctor specialized in stomach or colon, he said its related to gas in colon issue... and he said lets make eco test because he wasnt sure... and I also dont think so... because it happen when I am breathing when i am pressing that area ... gurgle happens ... so I believed I explained the whole story,
Brief Answer:
The symptoms are probably related to gas in colon.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I understand your concern.
I see that you have already done the examinations to exclude a lung issue.
So, I agree with your doctor that the symptoms can be related to gas in the colon.
I suggest you do an abdominal ultrasound for further evaluation.
Meanwhile, I suggest to use simethicone medication such as Gas X three times a day.
I also suggest to use daily probiotics.
I recommend to eat a fiber rich diet and drink a lot of liquids.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Specialized doctor replied this:
Yess this is a pneumonitis which is causing thick purulent sputum in the passage whuch makes a gurgling sound while breathing in and out. Steam inhalation will make it sofen and come out. Alsoo the other syrup will break it and bring out. I dint add an antibiotics because there is no fever. It should settle on thia. Thank you
what do you think?

Brief Answer:
Pneumonitis should appear at the x-ray.
Detailed Answer:
Hi again dear,
In my opinion pneumonitis should appear at the chest x ray.
Based on the fact that the chest x-ray was normal I don't think that it can be pneumonitis.
You can repeat the x-ray for a second opinion to exclude this diagnosis.
Hope it helps.

ultrasound been done at abdominal area and where i feel the gurgling .all normal, doctors dont know, what to do, what do you suggest?
Brief Answer:
Suggestions are explained below in details.
Detailed Answer:
Hi again dear,
I am sorry for my late response.
As I mentioned above, in my opinion, the symptoms are related to the large intestine.
The gurgling can be related to irritable bowel syndrome which cause gas an d inflammation in the colon.
It does not appear on the ultrasound.
I suggest to follow up with a gastrologist.
If the gurgling continue, a colonoscopy should be done for further evaluation.
Hope it helps.
