as she keeps crying at intervals at night..
baby cord also detached yesterday night on its own..
Brief Answer:
All fine, nothing to worry
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
Thank you for the detailed elaboration
Going through the details, all seems fine here
Babies losses weight for initial few days and then gradually pick up to regain birthweight by around 10th day.
Regarding feeding frequency and amount, after 7 days in a term baby, we need not control it strictly. Rather, adopt feeding on demand policy- that is, let the bay decide when and how much to feed. Just ensure minimum 3-4 feeds overnight. Also, alway breast feed the baby each time before formula feeding until both breasts are empty- this will help to gradually improve milk output and help us to discontinue formula feeds in few days.
Babies tends to be awake and noisy overnight and sleep more during daytime. This is also normal
They can have 6-8 stools per day or pass stools only once in 6-8 days. This keeps on changing during initial 3 months period, no worries
Keep the cord area clean and dry
Vitamin D3 drops we can give till 1 year of age
In short, everything is going fine here, be relaxed
I hope this answer will help
