Question: Hello Doctor,

I am JayaSudha, and I have the below concern.
Intermittent pain on left side of head and throughout the shoulder, left hand and to the left leg.

Attaching the report took for the C-SPINE MRI.
I am consulting with ESI, and the doctors were advised to took medicines (Valparin and Gabantin) throughout the month.
I am taking the medicine [Valparin] for last 3 months and not much relief.

Kindly advice how to proceed and regarding the reports.

Thanks
doctor

Brief Answer:
The problem in unlikely to be from cervical spine

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have read your complaints and gone through your MRI Report.
Your clinical Picture says the problem is more from brain , and in unlikely to be from cervical spine . Your MRI report does not mention any condition where pain can go down to legs .
Probably there is a lesion in brain causing these problems.
I would recommend that you continue with prescribed medicines and get CT Brain and one EEG.
Thanks for the question. I hope to have answered your question. Please feel free to ask any other question.
Thanks.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.

Does that mean the Cervical Degenerative Disease is not causing the frequent pain.

I am attaching another report which took for MRI Brain(color) as well.
Kindly suggest on the same.

Thanks

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Gopal Goel, Orthopedic Surgeon.
I have seen the report of MRI Brain and contrast angiography.
The report is more or less normal for the age.
Cervical Degenerative disease will cause problem in neck, Shoulder and are- but to cause problems in neck , severe compression is required and it will not cause any problem in the head.
Now , I suggest you to consult a neurologist for further examination and treatment.
Thanks for follow up. Please feel free to ask any further question.
