Lack Of Balance, Wobbly Gait, And Just Falling Have Been
Question: Lack of balance, wobbly gait, and just falling have been with me for 5 years now. I have 3 kinds of falls: the usual dizzy fall, the no-warning fall, and worst, the "body-slam" fall which is one that seems like someone slammed you to the ground with resulting injuries.I have had 2 of those. Now I've experienced "catatonic" incidents. I have a short "spacy" feeling and then I am like frozen. I can hear; I know what's going on; I know what people are saying but I can only shake all over and cry. I have no control over either. Gradually everything stops but I am exhausted even though the incident seems to last only 4-10 minutes. I have run out of doctors. I think all they see is an overweight woman with emotional issues. I am scheduled for brain scan Wednesday but no answers on the last one.

Brief Answer:
Probably psychomotor disadaptation syndrome, follow the advice below.
Detailed Answer:
Hi again dear,
I am sorry that the answer was not complete.
I see through your query that you have undergone to many tests and examinations.
Your symptoms in my opinion seem to be related to psycho motor disadaptation syndrome.
It is a diagnosis, which can be related at your age.
It is caused by changes in the subcortical brain.
There are several tests that can be done to confirm this diagnosis and exclude other possible causes.
One of the common test that is done is XXXXXXX motor test which can be performed by a neurologist or your physician.
The treatment consists in physiotherapy.
The objective is usually focused on lower extremity strengthening and muscle tone in general.
So, I would recommend to follow up with your physician to confirm the diagnosis through the tests and start physiotherapy.
I also recommend to have a healthy lifestyle, eat healthy and avoid stress, which can trigger the symptoms.
Fell free to contact me again if you have further queries.
Take care dear,
