Question: Last night I slept with a sex worker. I wore a condom. I ejaculated in the condom and as I withdrew, the condom stayed in her. She said nothing got in her at all, but I couldn't see. She also said that she doesn't have HIV but I guess I'm paranoid about that. I went to a doctor to get checked for HIV and ask if I should take PEP. He said I didn't need PEP unless the condom broke and there was no fluid exchange I am still anxious and want to know if I should take PEP

Usually HIV transmits through open ulcer, or direct fluid and blood contact with each other.
Unless an open ulcer to you or your partner, chances of HIV transmission are very less.

So if condom was not broken and if there was no ulcer
Chances of HIV transmission are very less. Almost zero, so no need to worry, and no need for PEP.

To rule out any other possibilities for STD
Watch for symptoms fever, penile ulcer, Penile discharge ,burning micturition .

If you suffer from any of these symptoms then consult with your physician, He may procure complete hemogram, discharge culture, urine analysis.
