Question: Last time I asked you a question and you response turned out to be good. However I was doubtful following your advice. So I took a second opinion which matched your recommendation. Thank you for your support. Now I have a different problem.
I am feeling that my eyes are very strained and as if I am not able to focus quickly. I think the nerves or muscles around the eyes became weak and lost flexibility.
Another problem that I am facing nowadays is pain in the inner thighs mostly during night. Please suggest a remedy.

As explained below.

Hello and welcome to "Ask A Doctor"

Thank you for letting me know and I am very happy to know that my answer helped you to get better.

Eye strain can be due to stress/fatigue or you may need spectacles. For a month you can try taking multivitamins such as Cap. Becadexamin daily one capsule after dinner.

Doing eye exercises such as the following will help reduce eye strain. These exercises will strengthen your eye muscles. They are:

- Keeping your head straight, rolling your eye slowly to right and left for 10 counts.

- Rolling your eyeball up and down

- Roll your eyes around clockwise and anticlockwise.

- For increasing your power of accommodation, you can stretch out your index finger in the front of your face and focus on your finger and bring the finger near, in between your eyes and stretch it out far with continuously focussing on your finger.

Pain in your inner thighs can be due to some recent activity you may have started such as cycling or jogging/gym etc which has put a strain on the muscle.
I would suggest you avoid that recent activity for some time. Place a heat bag on the affected area followed by volini gel. You can take mild painkillers such as Tab. Dolo 650 mg. Drink lots of water, 3 to 4 liters/day. Dehydration can also cause muscle pain.

In case your eye problem persists then you may have to visit an ophthalmologist for a detailed examination and treatment.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to discuss further.
