Question: Discharge
Hello I've been getting a bit discharge i have attached pics i had a swap done at doctors last week and said it was fine and she looked above is this normal anything to worry about?
Brief Answer:
vaginal discharge
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
thanks for the query,
The pictures haven't been attached with this post so kindly attach them.
If the swab culture test rules out any infection then i would just advise the use of alkaline vaginal wash twice a day for next 10 days and this would help overcome the discharge per vaginum.

I have attached the pics now did you get them? What does the wash do?
Brief Answer:
follow up
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
This is blood tinged discharge and usually seen post intercourse in cases of cervicitis or cervical erosions due to frictional injury if you are not in your menses.
This calls for a per speculum examination and a pap smear test and also an ultrasound pelvis to check for endometrial thickness to establish and rule out if its irregular shedding.

Is it something to worry about? I've had a speculum like a smear test and they said everything was fine? What can cause it?

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
If its not the cervix , then the bleeding is from uterus and if it is not your menses , then you would need to get an ultrasound done and check for endometrial thickness to rule out endometrial hyperplasia if any.

Hello,
There is no point making an assumptions without proper reports in hand. The differential diagnoses can be multiple right from irregular shedding to Hormonal imbalances like hypothyroidism, hyperprolactimeia, pcod to even endometrial hyperplasia.
When was your last menstrual period and did this discharge coincide with your next menstrual date or not or was this a mid cycle bleed?

Hello,
If it has stopped on its own, then its fine. Maintain a menstrual calendar for next 3months and note teh days of bleeding. This could have been just an isolated episode of bleeding . If you have been sexually active during your fertile days then this could have been suspected to be an implantation bleed as well. But nevertheless , if it has stopped and the discharge is gone , there is nothing much to be done as now, but it would still be best to get an ultrasound pelvis done to establish everything is fine with the uterus and this was just hormonal imbalances.
