Hi,
Thanks for writing in.
Since there are a lot of conditions which could be contributing to the weight loss, I would like to ask you the following questions:
a. Do you have any low grade fever or cough ?
b. Do you have a normal appetite?
c. What gastric problem do you have?
d. Are you currently receiving any medication?
e. Has a sputum examination and CT chest been done for you?
f. Do you still eat the same amount of food as before? Is the exercise pattern the same?
g. Does anybody in your family have a history of tuberculosis?
h. Do you have any rash or unusual spots anywhere on the body?
i. Do you have foul smelling diarrhoea?
Please let me know and then we can take this discussion ahead.
Best

Hi,
Thanks for writing back.
Your symptoms could be due to a chronic worm infestation, tuberculosis, diabetes insipidus or steatorrhoea. I think we would need a few more tests in your case like a fecal fat estimation and a urine examination to rule out steatorrhoea. If this is normal, we'll need to do a CT chest and a sputum examination as well.
Till then, I would suggest that you speak with your physician about treating the chronic worm infestation. We usually treat it with drugs like metronidazole. A course of this and the gastric issues that you have been suffering from should be resolved.
I hope this helps. Please get the tests done and revert back.

Urine report is already attached.
Hi
I am sorry I missed it. I have seen the reports and now diabetes insipidus is ruled out but I would stick to the rest of my earlier recommendations.
