Question: MY STEP DAUGHTER HAS WEAKENED bones due to chemo treatments. Last week she was diagnosed with a broken bone in her right foot. She was placed in a cast. Her foot became swollen and so her orthopedic doctor removed her cast and found sores on her foot. He prescribed high powered antibiotics told her to keep her foot dry and elevated
this morning she had similar sores on both sides of her midsection. What additional coaching points can we give her. Andy Cz

Washing with warm lukewarm water

Hi

Sores in foot after chemotherapy can be treated by punchuring the sores with needle after antiseptic wah.

Also she needs to wash the sores with warm lukewarm water daily

After washing local antibiotic ointment like soframycin should be applied as you are rightly doing
