MY Mom Is Taking Linozid 300g Twice A Day. She
Question: MY mom is taking Linozid 300g twice a day. She is suffering from vomitting since taking that medicine. Can she take Pan 40 or PAN D before food to control this?

Thanks for the reply doctor.
She is diabetic and taking insulin twice before food. She is also taking gemer 2 and jalra 50 after food. She has a pacemaker and is having hypertension also. She takes telma h, storvas cv 10 and concor for her heart.
She is basically recommended lizolid 300 and calpol t because she has cellulitis infection in her left leg which causes swelling and unbearable pain.
Is it fine if she takes pan40 before food? Is the combination of medicines is having this kind of reaction?
Please suggest me what can be done here.

Cellulitis is usually due to staphylococci or streptococci infection and is best treated by empiric antibiotics like Linezolid.
Usual culprit drugs for drug induced gastritis are pain killers and corticosteroids.
She must be on pain killers.
Anti hypertensives and anti diabetics are usually not implicated.
It is fine for her to takes pan 40 before meals.
Proton pump inhibitors such as Pantoprazole inhibit the production of stomach acid.
They should be taken only once every 24 hours and for no more than 2 weeks.
She should take bland,diabetic,salt restricted diet.
Avoid tea,coffee,junk,spicy and greasy meals.
Be physically active and well hydrated.
She should take multiple small frequent meals instead of 3 large meals.
She should sleep with head end raised by 35 degrees.
This would definitely help her.
