Measures To Detect Side Effects If One Is Taking Nine Different Pills At A Time?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: How do you determine the side effects if a patient is taking nine different pills at once?
Hi XXXXXXX
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
The drugs have particular side effect profile although at times different drugs may have similar side effects also.
If nine type of pills are going then the physician would try to match side effect profile and will try to relate on the basis of time course of taking the drug and appearance of the side effect.
If that does not help then the drugs are stopped and added later one by one where possible and the side effects are monitored.
I hope the advise would be helpful.
