Months Ago I Found A Small Hard White Bump On

default
Posted on Wed, 3 Jul 2019
Question: Months ago I found a small hard white bump on lip/gum connecting tissue. I have used snus for three or four years off and on (quit this week) and this is where I sometimes kept the packet. the bump has not grown in the months since. I did have a dental appointment a month or so ago and nobody seemed concerned but I wanted a second opinion.

Thank you,

Hello. Thank you for your response.

It's sort of hard but pinkish clearish white in color. Its movable but only because it's on the flap that connects my gum and lip. It's not on the actual gum. No pain or tenderness at all. Also no change in size over the past couple months. It has remained very, very small. About the size of pinhead. My first thought was some kind of cyst or something like that.

Brief Answer:
Can be an overgrown salivary gland.

Detailed Answer:
Hi..

Well it can be an overgrown minor salivary gland and if it is so then there is nothing to be worried about.

I would still suggest you to once get it checked by an Oral Physician..

As it is not increasing in size it does not seems to be anything serious..

Please let me know for further queries..

Thanks.
