Mrs. XXXXXXX Is Having Recent History Loss Of Vision In
Question: Mrs. XXXXXXX is having recent history loss of vision in Rt.Eye . she was diagnosed with Central retinal vein occlusion & consulted opthalmogist , treatment done but still she is not recovering her vision. she is also know case of Hypertension, diabetes & MVP for which we have been advised to consult cardiologist. Cardiologist has change treatment & have added Tab.Debigatran 110mg.. he has also shared risk of bleeding with treatment. we request you to guide on :
what are chances of vision recovery in this case ?

Central retinal vein occlusion is a vision threatening disorder . The most important cause of this is hypertension. Usually the patients need intravitreal injections in the eye to treat the same . Still visual recovery is not that good as the main vein of the retina is affected and retina is one tissue of the eye which cannot be changed and is the main layer responsible for vision . You should get her checked by a Retina specialist and then depending upon the report we can proceed further . But we have to do it quickly as retinal tissue once degenerated doesnt recover fully .
