Posted on Fri, 14 Feb 2020
Question: Mu UA showed "reflex conditions for urinalysis not met" even though I had negative results for blood, protein, etc and numeric results for all other categories. I'm not sure what to make of that. Thanks!

Brief Answer:
Seems like an inconclusive analysis

Detailed Answer:
Hi Dmorrissey37,

Is that all the UA read? Or was there any results mentioned for anything? pH, leukocyte esterase, protein, glucose, etc.?

It sounds like an error in either the analysis or sampling of the urine.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Can I assume there was no blood etc which meant there was no reason for micro UA? Thx!

Brief Answer:
It sounds like no blood

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,

From what you describe, it sounds like no blood. I would do another urinalysis in a few weeks time to make sure. And if you have no other symptoms, e.g. pain, weight loss, anemia, a palpable abdominal mass, etc. I would do nothing more if the next urinalysis is negative for blood. What was the indication to do a urinalysis to begin with?

Looking forward to hearing from you.
