Question: I have a clear mucus discharge from anus area. It irritating and has been going on for about a month.

If anal speculum examination is normal then there is a possibility of inflammatory bowel disease or villous adenomas of the rectum or colon. This can be picked up by colonoscopy.
So I suggest you to consult a gastrenterologist for a colonoscopic evaluation to find the cause.
