Brief Answer:
unusual symptoms

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
These are pretty unusual symptoms for such a young man.

At this point, he should rest, take ibuprofen 400mg twice daily after food, apply ice packs on swollen joints, and apply antihistaminic ointment on welts.
If there is associated fever then he should see an infectious disease specialist.

It is most commonly caused by bites or allergic reactions and in this case, it should subside within 2-3 days. If this worsens, then you should consider juvenile arthritis or autoimmune disease which necessitates work up by immunologist.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing good health.
Regards
