My 17 Year Old Daughter Has Nene Complaining Of Ear

Question: My 17 year old daughter has nene complaining of ear pain and pressure and feels that something is in her ear . We are having to wait on an ENT appointment and I am very worried. Last night we noticed that the tops of her ear ridges wee a red to purple color . She has a hard calcified stone like benign mass removed from the area behind this ear 4 years ago . She also had surgery for polyps that covered her whole sinus cavity 3 years ago. We were told there were hard and looked like stones . She has a lot of drainage and has a hard time getting the mucus up . What could cause this .

I read your query and here is my advice.

I think she is having an ear infection since her ear is red purple and most important is having drainage and is having congestion and mucous.
I believe she may need to take antibiotics l and I am sure that ENT doctor will recommend it.
She can take antinflammatory drugs such advil or acetaminophen for pain and fever and wait for ENT doctor appointment.
Also she can take decongestants or antihistamines such benadryl or citerizine for congestion.
