My 45 Days Baby Got Very Bad Rashes. Few Days

default
Posted on Sun, 6 Jan 2019
Question: My 45 days baby got very bad rashes. Few days before she had got the same rashes due to the apply of mustard oil in the face. This time we traveled first time by flight and a day road travel to the hometown. She got the rashes badly. Initially we had applied Dermadew cream and calasoft lotion.
She got her first vaccination on 10th December. Her weight as of now is 4Kg. She is feeding well.
My questions is why this kind of rashes happened. What can I do to cure this? Is there a permanent solution for this? How to prevent these rashes?

Brief Answer:
This is atopic dermatitis or eczema

Detailed Answer:
Hi... I sympathize with the kid and understand your concern.
This is eczema or atopic dermatitis very common in this age group and no specific cause can be attributed to this.
I am sorry to say that the symptoms can be recurrent and persistent please.
The trick of the management is keeping the skin moist and never allowing it to be dry. For this oil massage and lotions like Atogla will help.
You can use the mildest soap available and I usually advice Tedybar soap and Spoo shampoo.
Regarding cure options - eczema is a sort of allergy and can be controlled. But usually kids grow out of it...that is as the age progresses, they become better starting from 6 months.

Brief Answer:
Suggestions on Eczema

Detailed Answer:
Hi... you can use any baby oil for the massage.

You can also use atogla on the face too.

Some people use steroid creams to reduce this immediately. But they have their own side effects and I do not recommend them immediately at such a short notice of symptoms.
