Question: My 6 month old may have been exposed to shingles. She was around someone during the pins and needles, pain, and rash phase, no blisters (yet). Anti-viral was started with this person on Friday, will they be contagious to my 6 month old by Tuesday, 4 days of the anti viral?

Brief Answer:
Yes, it's possible please start her on antiviral too

Detailed Answer:
Hello, I understand your concern.

I am sorry to say that there is a possibility that age might contract the virus.

I recommend starting antiviral please.

But this is a prescription drug and you will require a doctor's prescription for this.
