My Brother Is Diagnosed With Non Hodgkins Lymphoma And Undergone
MRI shows involvement of cranial nerves.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
I am Dr Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist, and would try my best to help you.
I have noted your brother's symptoms and seen the MRI brain report also. The report shows involvement of multiple cranial (brain) nerves. The involvement is part of his Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL).
Please meet his oncologist. They may plan to decide intra-thecal chemotherapy (where the medicines are given via lumbar puncture (injection in the lower back region), so that medicines can reach the brain.
I sincerely hope my reply has helped you.
I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.
Best wishes,

Thanks for your immediate response. Oncologist earlier asked us to do CSF tests to confirm the involvement of NHL on brain. We did the CSF test twice and both times CSF results not confirmed that it is because of NHL.
Is there any particular test to confirm this is happening because of NHL?
MRI does not show us any maligns (tumors) in brain, Still brain can be affected by NHL?
How serious is effecting Nerves?
Do you recommend any oncologist in XXXXXXX who is good at dealing these?
Attaching the Spine report.
Expecting a response at the earliest.
Thanks Bala
You can meet Dr XXXXXXX Rajappa, Oncologist
