Brief Answer:
antenatal advise on early pregnancy care

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to HCM,
Firstly congratulations for being pregnant. As on date , considering your LMP, you are exactly 5 weeks today. This is the most sensitive period of pregnancy when the lady has to be real careful. The heart beat of the foetus generally arrives by 6-8th week of gestation. THINGS TO DO/ NOT TO DO:_
1. Start on MEDS--- a) TAB HIFOLATE X 1-0-0 X 30 DAYS
B) TAB PREGCARE PLUS X 1-0-1 X 30 DAYS( FOR NAUSEA)
c) TAB SUSTEN 300SR x 0-0-1 x 30 days.
2. AVOID INTERCOURSE COMPLETELY HENCE FOR next 5 months.
3. AVOID ANY GYMING AND EXERCISES OR BENDING FORWARD EXERCISES.
4. AVOID any throat infections or cough causing raised intra-abdominal pressure which can increase chances of threatened miscarriage.
5. eat dry foods and avoid gravy based foods as they would promote nausea.

Considering the fact that you had true knot in your previous pregnancy, there is no literature which says that it would be repeated or not repeated in next pregnancy, as its completely natural to develop in the natural course of growth of the child.

6. Medical examination:- a) COMPLETE ANC PROFILE.
b) ULTRASOUND FOR DATING SCAN AFTER 2 WEEKS to check for foetal heart beat and well being.
