My TSH Level Is High With ANTI MICROSOMAL ANTIBODY (AMA) Should I Be Worried
Question: My TSH level is high, latest report shows 8.5 as of 4th Dec, (has been high in most tests I have done in least few years with one or two times of exception when its normal) with normal T3 (185) and T4(7.88). Doc asked for Anti TPO test. As per results ANTI MICROSOMAL ANTIBODY (AMA) value is 326.3 IU/mL What should I do in this case
Brief Answer:
Need some more details
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query
I have gone through the report
AMA, RA factor, ESR, CRP all are raised indicating autoimmune thyroiditis, this requires management with steroids if you are symptomatic or your TSH is too high.
Do you have any symptoms like weight gain, joint pains, hair lose, excess fatigue, thyroid swelling, swelling in feet or face etc ?
What is the Thyroxine dosage you are on ?
Waiting for your response

I am currently on no medication. I had thyronorm 25mcg during pregnancy (4ys back) and once based on a docs input for 3 months earlier this year.
Symptoms are mostly overall low energy, excessive fatigue, irritability and anxiety.
Recently since past few months I have started having pain in joints but its shifting and non consisitent. Like it may happen once a month or twice for a few day and during these sessions each day a new joint is affected. Like it once started with my mandibular joint. i could hardly open my mouth to eat anything, next day it automatically shifted to my right wrist, next to a finger and then left shoulder joint and then gone. it comes back again after 15-20 days and shifts between a few joints, mostly finger and wrist and goes of it own. while it lasts its very painful for the affected joint with light swelling and warm feeling in the area.
