Brief Answer:
Repeat blood pressure...

Detailed Answer:
Hi

ARB group of drugs like Eritel is one of the choice antihypertensive drugs used commonly to treat primary hypertension. Blood pressure reading of 166/93mmHg is not very high to warrant immediate attention. Further more, it seems like the blood pressure reading was done through an automated blood pressure monitor.

Most automated BP monitor do not produce precise BP readings. I will suggest you get BP checked manually on three different occasions while you take the prescribed medications as per the precise doctor's instruction. The decision to moderate / change medication can be done based on those BP readings.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarification.

Brief Answer:
Dose modification...

Detailed Answer:
Apologies for the late reply...

Blood pressure reading of 152/80mmHg is slightly over the normal limit; but not very concerning. Moreover, a home blood pressure monitor (other than sphygmomanometer) is not calibrated to produce exact BP readings.

How frequently do you have headaches? Do you have nausea, vomiting, or giddiness with a headache?

And what is the current frequency of eritel (how many tablets per day)?

Brief Answer:
Headache probably is not due to BP...

Detailed Answer:
I can understand and speak Hindi; I cannot type here. You can ask follow up question in Hindi.

Based on your response,

1. The headache is not due to BP. And stress headaches will continue to persist even if we changed / altered BP medication and it will not solve the headaches. I would like to know how often (frequency) you get headache to discuss the treatment for stress headache; for example once or twice a month/once a week, etc?

2. As informed earlier, BP of 152/80mmHg is not very high. You can get it confirmed at a nearby clinic. If BP continues to remain at this number, we may increase eritel dose (if you meant you take one tablet of eritel 40 in the morning, you can take another eritel 20 at night).

Hope this answers your question. Let me know if you have any doubts.

Regards
