My Daughter Had These Little Dots On Her Hand For
Question: My daughter had these little dots on her hand for quite awhile.
She went to a dermatologist who froze them about a month ago and they look like this?
They certainly look bad in the beginning picture and the recent picture.
Thank you for your help.
I am uploading both pictures.

The picture where the dots are larger look more raised and scabbish than they appear in photo.
Thank you
Thank you
Picture #2358 was taken in September, 2019
The other picture is from a day ago.
The doctor froze them. He was going to laser but felt it wasn't a good idea
(I believe he said they might be viral?).
They are looking worse (Picture 2364) since the doctor froze them and some of the dots are going up her arm
Thank you for your help

Brief Answer:
Viral warts
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have gone through your query and viewed the image.
Yes, they seem like viral warts (HPV). Freezing is one of the options amongst many, including laser. vaporization. New ones may appear since the infection spreads by autoinnoculation. They should be treated similarly. The redness and some pigment changes may happen post treatment but these complications are minor and resolve with time.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you need any more assistance.

Thank you
And the small dots that are large and a little raised after the freeze
Look like they will go away?
Where do these come from?
How can you prevent further from coming?
Is it an internal ongoing virus?
Thank you

Brief Answer:
Regarding HPV
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
It's a little difficult to treat all of them in a single go, if they are so many. Some may be missed, some grow back/persist along with some new ones appearing while most of them resolve after a sitting. So, it requires repeat sessions to take care of those which were missed, grow back or persist. HPV is a skin infection acquired from an external source, most likely from someone who has a skin infection. Body's own immunity assisted by ablative treatment is usually enough to tackle the infection.
Take care.
